Timothée Hal Chalamet (born December 27, 1995) is an American and French actor. His accolades include an Actor Award, a Critics' Choice Award, and a Golden Globe Award, in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards, four British Academy Film Awards, and a Grammy Award.

Chalamet began his career in television, appearing in the drama series Homeland. In 2014, while a student at Columbia University, he made his film debut in the comedy-drama Men, Women & Children and appeared in Christopher Nolan's science fiction film Interstellar. Chalamet came to international attention with the lead role of a lovestruck teenager in Luca Guadagnino's coming-of-age film Call Me by Your Name (2017), earning him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor, and becoming the third-youngest nominee in the category.

Alongside supporting roles in Greta Gerwig's films Lady Bird (2017) and Little Women (2019), Chalamet took on a starring role as drug addict Nic Sheff in the biopic Beautiful Boy (2018). He began leading big-budget films, portraying Paul Atreides in Denis Villeneuve's science fiction films Dune (2021) and Dune: Part Two (2024), and Willy Wonka in the musical fantasy film Wonka (2023). For his portrayal of Bob Dylan in the biographical drama A Complete Unknown (2024), which he also co-produced, he was nominated for his second Academy Award, a Grammy Award, and became the youngest winner of the SAG Award for Best Actor. He earned further acclaim for his starring role in Josh Safdie's sports comedy film Marty Supreme (2025), becoming the youngest winner of the Critics' Choice Award for Best Actor and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

On stage, Chalamet starred in John Patrick Shanley's autobiographical play Prodigal Son in 2016, for which he won a Lucille Lortel Award and gained a nomination for a Drama League Award. Offscreen, he has been labeled as a sex symbol and a fashion icon.

Chalamet made his SNL (and hosting) debut on Saturday Night Live for the first time on December 12, 2020, the eighth and Holidays-themed episode of Season 46 of Saturday Night Live, with musical guests Bruce Springsteen and The E-Street Band.

He also made a cameo on April 10, 2021, the seventeenth episode of Season 46, hosted by the English actress Carey Mulligan, with musical guest Kid Cudi, during the pre-recorded "Weird Little Flute" sketch.

Chalamet returned to host Saturday Night Live for the 2nd time and he also made his 3rd overall appearance on November 11, 2023, the fourth episode of Season 49 of Saturday Night Live, with musical guests Boygenius, an indie supergroup, after the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike ended.

Chalamet returned to host Saturday Night Live again for the 3rd time and his first and only time as the musical guest on January 25, 2025, the twelfth episode of Season 50 of Saturday Night Live, and it was the last episode before the Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Special. He performed a medley of "Outlaw Blues" and "Three Angels" with James Blake for his first set and "Tomorrow is a Long Time" for his second set.

He was also impersonated by longtime former cast member Pete Davidson on March 10, 2018, the fifteenth episode of Season 43, hosted by Sterling K. Brown, star of NBC's hit drama series This Is Us, with musical guest James Bay, during the "Celebrity Family Feud: Oscar Edition sketch, and impersonated by current cast member Chloe Fineman, on April 11, 2020, during the pre-recorded "MasterClass Quarantine Edition" sketch, the sixteenth episode of Season 45, billed as "Saturday Night Live At Home", hosted by actor Tom Hanks, with musical guest Chris Martin of Coldplay, on December 12, 2020, during the "The Dionne Warwick Talk Show" sketch, and on November 11, 2023, during the pre-recorded "Britney Book Reading" sketch.
