Timothy "Tim" Meadows (born February 5, 1961) was a castmember from 1991 to 2000. Tim was one of the many new featured players in the 1990-1991 season's cast.

One of Meadows' gags on Weekend Update would be to appear as a character or as himself playing on something not obvious. He once commented on his displeasure with the 1994 NHL lockout through quoting hockey statistics and asking "What's a brother to do, watch basketball?" Another time Meadows introduced SNL with all the cast in their catch characters (Phil Hartman as Frankenstein's Monster, Mike Myers as Wayne, et cetera) in a spoof of "We are the World" promoting racial reconciliation in light of the 1992 Los Angeles riots. Meadows said he had been chosen as the MC because of an obvious issue..."namely, I do not have a catch character!" Ironically, this was prior to the introduction of Leon Phelps, a catch character he would become associated with.

Meadows left on May 20, 2000, and since has starred in two shows, The Michael Richards Show and Leap of Faith. Meadows starred in The Ladies Man, a film based on his SNL character Leon Phelps. He also appeared in the film Mean Girls.

Other shows Meadows played a key role on with comedians were Curb your Enthuthiasm with Larry David and The Bill Engvall Show, playing the next-door neighbor of the titular character.

Meadows currently stars in Marry Me with SNL alum Casey Wilson, and recently in Mr. Box Office with SNL alum Jon Lovitz.
