The season premiere of Season 19 and the overall 347th episode of Saturday Night Live, hosted by former long-term NBA basketball player Charles Barkley with rock band Nirvana as the musical guest. This is Charles Barkley's hosting debut, and Nirvana made their second and final musical guest appearance on SNL.
