September 16, 1976

The first episode of the season was supposed to be good. During the Ford-Carter debate, Ford (Chevy Chase) fell on his podium that knocked to the ground. Chase had injured his groin and it was the first and so far only time someone had to be transported to the hospital. He appeared via phone for the next two episodes.
