Sarah Kate Silverman (born December 1, 1970) is an American comedienne, writer, and actress. Her satirical comedy addresses social taboos and controversial topics such as racism, sexism, and religion by having her comic character endorse them in an ironic fashion.

Silverman first gained notice as a writer and occasional performer on Saturday Night Live and starred in and produced The Sarah Silverman Program, which ran from 2007 to 2010 on Comedy Central. She has also had small parts in many movies including School of Rock. She also played the leading role in 1997's Who's the Caboose? She had a leading role in the 2012 film, Wreck-it Ralph, voicing the main female character. Although mostly a comedy actress, Silverman has occasionally done drama, such as playing a Navy officer on an episode of JAG.

She was also impersonated by Melissa Villaseñor on the October 1, 2016 episode during the "Family Feud" sketch.
