Sarah Michelle Prinze (née Gellar; born April 14, 1977), better known as Sarah Michelle Gellar, is an American actress and producer best known for her roles as Kendall Hart on the ABC soap opera All My Children from 1993 to 1995, Helen Shivers in the 1997 horror mystery slasher film I Know What You Did Last Summer, Buffy Summers on The WB/UPN television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer from 1997 to 2003, Daphne Blake in the 2002 live action comedy film Scooby-Doo and its sequel Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed in 2004, Karen Davis in The Grudge films and as Bridget Kelly/Siobhan Martin on The CW television series Ringer from 2011 to 2012.

She hosted Saturday Night Live on January 17, 1998, on May 15, 1999 and on October 12, 2002 and made cameos on May 13, 2000 where she introduced Britney Spears' performance of "Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know" and on May 20, 2000 during "The Ladies' Man" sketch as Brandy Lane.
