Paul Stephen Rudd (born April 6, 1969) is an American actor. He studied theater at the University of Kansas and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, before making his acting debut in 1991. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in July 2015. He was included on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list in 2019. In 2021, he was named People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive".

His films include Clueless (1995), Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995), Romeo + Juliet (1996), Wet Hot American Summer (2001), Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004), The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), Knocked Up (2007), I Love You Man (2009), This Is 40 (2012), and Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021). He has played Ant-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, beginning with Ant-Man (2015) and most recently appearing in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023).

In addition to his film career, Rudd has appeared in numerous television shows, including the NBC sitcom Friends as Mike Hannigan, along with guest roles on Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, Reno 911! and Parks and Recreation. He starred in a dual role in the Netflix comedy series Living with Yourself, which earned him a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy. He starred in the miniseries The Shrink Next Door (2021).

He made his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live on November 15, 2008, the eighth episode of Season 34, with musical guest Beyoncé Knowles.

He returned to Saturday Night Live to hosting for the 2nd time on December 11, 2010, the ninth episode and the Holidays show of Season 36 with musical guest Paul McCartney, the former Beatle member and English music legend.

He returned to Saturday Night Live again hosting for the 3rd time on December 7, 2013, the eighth episode of Season 39, with musical guests One Direction.

He returned to Saturday Night Live once again to hosting for the 4th time on May 18, 2019, which is the Season 44 finale, with musical guest DJ Khaled and special guests J Balvin, Big Sean, Meek Mill, Jeremih, Lil Wayne, SZA, John Legend, and Lil Baby.

He returned to Saturday Night Live once again to hosting for the 5th time on December 18, 2021, the ninth episode and the canceled Christmas show, as well as the clip show of Season 47.

He made cameos on May 16, 2009, which is the Season 34 finale, hosted by longtime former cast member Will Ferrell, during the "Goodnight Saigon" musical sketch, on March 6, 2010, during the "What Up With That?" sketch, on November 19, 2011, the seventh episode and the Thanksgiving show of Season 37, hosted by actor and comedian Jason Segel, during the "Affectionate Family" sketch where he reprised his role as Austin Vogelcheck, on December 7, 2019 in the Cold Open playing French president Emmanuel Macron, and on April 25, 2020 in the "Cousin Mandy" sketch as himself.
