The 911th episode and 2nd episode of Saturday Night Live's 47th season premiered on October 9, 2021, hosted by the socialite, businesswoman, and fashion mogul, Kim Kardashian West, with musical guest Halsey, the pop sensation, who performed "I am not a woman, I'm a god" and "Darling" with Lindsey Buckingham.

This is Kim Kardashian's hosting debut, and the 4th musical guest appearance for Halsey on SNL.

Halsey previously made 3rd musical guest appearances on SNL on the following dates: On January 20, 2018, the tenth episode and first show of 2018 of SNL's 43rd season, hosted by actor Sam Rockwell, February 9, 2019, the twelfth episode of SNL's 44th season with herself as host and served as the episode's musical guest and on January 25, 2020, the eleventh episode and first show of 2020 of SNL's 45th season, hosted by actor Adam Driver.
