The third episode of Season 19 and the 349th episode of Saturday Night Live premiered on October 9, 1993, hosted by actor Jeff Goldblum, star of the hit 1993 film Jurassic Park, as well as the hit films The Fly, Vibes, Independence Day, Hideaway, and Mister Frost and the animated films Zambezia and The Prince of Egypt with rock band Aerosmith as the musical guest. This is Jeff Goldblum's first time as host and the 2nd musical guest appearance on SNL for Aerosmith.

This is the first episode for Norm Macdonald and Jay Mohr as cast members.
