Saturday Night Live premiered it's 4th episode of Season 34 and the 640th episode on October 4, 2008. It was hosted by actress Anne Hathaway, with The Killers as the musical guests. This was Anne Hathaway‘s hosting debut, thus making her the 2nd female person to host during this season. This is also the 3rd musical guest stint on SNL for The Killers.

Tina Fey again returned to impersonate Sarah Palin and Queen Latifah made a cameo.
