The season premiere of Season 41 and the 788th episode of Saturday Night Live premiered on October 3, 2015. It was hosted by pop sensation Miley Cyrus, who also served as the musical guest. This is Miley Cyrus' 3rd hosting stint, and this is also the 2nd musical guest appearance on SNL for her.
This marked the first episode with Jon Rudnitsky as a cast member.
