The 875th episode and 4th episode of Saturday Night Live's 45th season premiered on October 26, 2019, hosted by Chance The Rapper, a rapper and singer-songwriter, who also served as the episode's musical guest. This is the 2nd time hosting and the 3rd musical guest appearance for Chance the Rapper on SNL.
Chance the Rapper previously made his 2nd musical guest appearance on SNL on the following dates: On December 12, 2015, the eighth and Holidays episode of SNL's 41st season, hosted by Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, star of Marvel Studios' superhero films Thor and the sequel Thor: Love and Thunder and on December 17, 2016, the tenth episode and the Christmas show of SNL's 42nd season, hosted by the actor and filmmaker Casey Affleck.
He also previously hosted SNL on the November 18, 2017 episode, the sixth episode and Thanksgiving show of SNL's 43rd season, with another rapper Eminem as the musical guest.
