The 4th episode of Season 24 and 450th episode of Saturday Night Live premiered on October 24, 1998, hosted by former short-time cast member, actor and comedian Ben Stiller, star of the hit films Reality Bites, Heavyweights, Flirting with Disaster, Permanent Midnight, Zoolander the Night at the Museum franchise, and DreamWorks Animation film Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, with musical guest Alanis Morissette.
This is Ben Stiller's first time as host, as well as his 6th appearance on the show, while Alanis Morissette made her 2nd musical guest appearance on SNL.
