The 588th episode and 3rd episode of Season 31 of Saturday Night Live premiered on October 22, 2005, hosted by Welch actress Catherine Zeta-Jones with musical guest Franz Ferdinand, a Scottish rock band, who performed "Do You Want To" and "Take Me Out". Catherine Zeta-Jones' only time as host was made, and this was also the only musical guest stint on SNL for Franz Ferdinand.
