The 3rd episode of Season 40 and the 770th episode of Saturday Night Live premiered on October 11, 2014, hosted by longtime former cast member Bill Hader, star of the hit films The Skeleton Twins and Trainwreck with musical guest Hozier, an Irish musician, singer and songwriter. This was Bill Hader's first-time as the host and the musical guest debut on SNL was made for Hozier.
