The 2nd episode of Season 41 and the 789th episode of Saturday Night Live premiered on October 10, 2015, hosted by stand-up comedian and actress Amy Schumer, star of Comedy Central's hit sketch comedy series Inside Amy Schumer, and the hit films Trainwreck, Snatched and I Feel Pretty, with musical guest The Weeknd, a Canadian singer and songwriter, who performing "The Hills" with Nicki Minaj and "Can't Feel My Face", and also appears on Weekend Update during a bit titled "The Weeknd Update". This was Amy Schumer's first time hosting SNL. This is also the 2nd appearance and the first musical guest stint on SNL for The Weeknd.
Amy Schumer's goodnights speech is "Thanks To The Weeknd & Nicki Minaj. (Cheers and applause) Lorne & the Cast & The Writers & The Crew, & My Family This Was The Best Thank You". (Cheers and applause again)
