The 3rd episode of Season 18 and the 329th episode of Saturday Night Live premiered on October 10, 1992, hosted by actor Joe Pesci, star of the first two installments in the Home Alone franchise and the Lethal Weapon franchise, as well as the hit films Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Casino, Once Upon a Time in America, Moonwalker, JFK, My Cousin Vinny, A Bronx Tale and The Irishman with musical guest Spin Doctors.
Joe Pesci's only hosting stint was made and this was also the only musical guest appearance on SNL for the Spin Doctors.
