The 935th episode and 5th episode of Saturday Night Live's 48th season premiered on November 5, 2022, hosted by stand-up comedian and actress Amy Schumer, star of the Paramount+ hit sketch comedy series Inside Amy Schumer and the Hulu's hit comedy-drama series Life & Beth, with musical guest Steve Lacy, a singer-songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. This is Amy Schumer's 3rd time hosting SNL. This is also the musical guest debut for Steve Lacy on SNL.
Amy Schumer previously hosted SNL on the following dates: On October 10, 2015, the second episode of SNL's 41st season, with musical guest The Weeknd, a Canadian singer-songwriter, and on May 12, 2018, the twentieth (and penultimate) episode and the Mother's Day-themed show of SNL's 43rd season, with musical guest Kacey Musgraves, a country singer-songwriter and musician.
This was also the last episode broadcast of the season before the 2022 Midterms Elections.
