The seventh episode of Season 23 and the 433rd episode of Saturday Night Live premiered on November 22, 1997, hosted by politician and lawyer who served as the 107th Mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001, Rudy Giuliani with musical guest Sarah McLachlan, a Canadian singer-songwriter. This was Rudy Giuliani's only time as host, as well as his 2nd appearance. This was also the only musical guest appearance on SNL for Sarah McLachlan.
