The 6th episode of Season 40 and the 772nd episode of Saturday Night Live premiered on November 15, 2014, hosted by actor Woody Harrelson, star of the NBC hit classic sitcom Cheers, and the hit films The Hunger Games film series, Zombieland, and the sequel Zombieland: Double Tap, White Men Can't Jump, Natural Born Killers, Kingpin, The Thin Red Line, Rampart, Seven Psychopaths, Now You See Me, Kate, Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Champions, and the animated film Free Birds, with rapper and songwriter Kendrick Lamar as the musical guest. This is Woody Harrelson's 3rd time as the host and his first appearance in 22 years, 5 months and 30 days. He last hosted SNL back on May 16, 1992, which is the Season 17 finale, with musical guest Vanessa Williams. This is also the 2nd musical guest stint on SNL for Kendrick Lamar.
