The 6th episode of Season 8 and the 145th episode of Saturday Night Live, hosted by actor Robert Blake, the former child star of the "Our Gang" series and ABC's classic detective series Baretta with musical guest Kenny Loggins. It premiered on November 13, 1982. This is the only musical guest appearance on SNL for Kenny Loggins.
Robert Blake was very uncooperative with the cast and crew. He was very dissatisfied with the scripts that he received throughout the week, to the extent that he crumpled up a script presented to him by Ebersol-era cast member and writer Gary Kroeger and threw it back in his face. He was banned from ever performing on the show again. It was also his only hosting stint on SNL.
