Miles Alexander Teller (b. February 20, 1987) is an American actor. He is most widely recognized for his roles as jazz drummer Andrew Neiman in Whiplash and pilot Lt. Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw in Top Gun: Maverick, a sequel to the 1986 action drama Top Gun. Teller made his feature film debut in the independent drama Rabbit Hole (2010) and soon gained recognition, most notably for his starring role in the 2013 coming-of-age film The Spectacular Now and the Divergent film trilogy (2014–2016), both opposite Shailene Woodley.
His starring role in the 2014 Academy Award-winning drama Whiplash served as his breakthrough and earned him wide acclaim. Following Whiplash, he became a leading man, starring in multiple romantic comedies, the superhero film Fantastic Four (2015), and the 2016 biographical films War Dogs and Bleed for This, among others. In 2022, Teller starred in the action-drama film Top Gun: Maverick. The film was directed by Joseph Kosinski, whom Teller had previously collaborated with on the film Only the Brave (2017). The pair teamed up again for the Netflix sci-fi psychological thriller film Spiderhead (2022) with Australian actor Chris Hemsworth.
On television, he has starred in the Amazon crime drama miniseries Too Old to Die Young (2019) and the Paramount+ miniseries The Offer (2022) follows the development and production of Francis Ford Coppola's landmark gangster film The Godfather.
Teller made his hosting debut on the season premiere of the 48th season of Saturday Night Live, with musical guest Kendrick Lamar, a rapper and singer-songwriter; which coincidentally, was the first episode for new cast members Marcello Hernandez, Molly Kearney, Michael Longfellow and Devon Walker.
During the Super Bowl LVII telecast in February 12, 2023, Teller, his wife, and their dog starred in a commercial for Bud Light in which they pass the time while waiting for a customer service representative to speak to them, dancing to the on-hold music.

Since 2013, he has been in a relationship with model Keleigh Sperry.[42] They were engaged at the Molori Safari Lodge in the Madikwe Game Reserve, South Africa, on August 20, 2017, and were married on September 1, 2019, in Maui, Hawaii.
