The 907th episode and 18th episode of Saturday Night Live's 46th season. It was hosted by the business magnate and investor and founder, CEO and chief engineer of SpaceX, Elon Musk, son of the model and dietitian, Maye Musk, with musical guest Miley Cyrus, the pop sensation. It premiered on May 8, 2021. This was the only hosting stint for Elon Musk. This is also Miley Cyrus' 10th appearance, as well as her 6th musical guest stint on SNL, thus marking her tenth appearance on SNL, three times as host and sixth times as the musical guest.
Miley Cyrus previously hosted 3 times and she made her 5th musical guest appearances on SNL on the following dates: On March 5, 2011, the sixteenth episode of SNL's 36th season, with musical guests The Strokes, the legendary rock band, on October 5, 2013, the second episode of SNL's 39th season, when she making her 2nd hosting stint and her first time as the musical guest, and on October 3, 2015, which is the Season 41 premiere.
On November 4, 2017, the fourth episode of SNL's 43rd season, hosted by comedian and actor Larry David, star of the HBO's hit comedy of matters series Curb Your Enthusiasm, on December 15, 2018, the ninth episode and Christmas show of SNL's 44th season, along with Mark Ronson, hosted by actor Matt Damon, and on April 25, 2020, the seventeenth episode of SNL's 45th season, the second episode of Saturday Night Live at Home, thus making her a five-time musical guest.
