The 724th episode, 22nd episode and the season finale of Season 37 of Saturday Night Live, hosted by the legendary English singer and songwriter the lead vocalist and one of the founder members of the legendary rock band The Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger, who was also served as the musical guest with Arcade Fire (where they performed "The Last Time"), the Foo Fighters (where they performed a medley of "19th Nervous Breakdown" and "It's Only Rock 'n Roll (But I Like It)", and with Jeff Beck (where they performed "Tea Party"). It premiered on May 19, 2012. This is Mick Jagger's 2nd hosting stint, his 6th appearance and the 4th time as the musical guest, as well as his first appearance on in over a decade on SNL.
The last time Mick Jagger was the musical guest on December 8, 2001, the eighth episode of SNL's 27th season, with actor Hugh Jackman as the host.
This marked the final episode for longtime cast members: Andy Samberg and Kristen Wiig (both cast members since 2005), as they both left the show after seven years, as well as Abby Elliott (who joined the cast in 2008), as she was let go after four years.
Additionally, Kristen Wiig had a miscellaneous sketch in the end of the episode with Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters and the Saturday Night Live Band performing The Rolling Stones' "She's a Rainbow" and "Ruby Tuesday", which its later continues to the goodnights.
