The 505th episode of Saturday Night Live and the season finale of Season 26, hosted by actor, comedian and singer Christopher Walken with musical guest Weezer, a rock band. It premiered on May 19, 2001.

This is Christopher Walken's 5th time as host, thus entering him into the Five-Timers Club, as well as the only musical guest appearance on SNL for Weezer.

This marked the last episode for first-year featured player Jerry Minor, as he would let go after only one season.

This also marked the last episode for Chris Parnell (who previously joined the cast in 1998), as he was initially fired after just three years. However, he would be rehired in the middle of the next season, with the March 2, 2002 episode.
