The game show was based upon 1980s game show "Press Your Luck," albeit with spaces added to the board to account for widescreen television. It included PYL's background music and "Whammy" sound effect, frequently landing on the top-row space third from the right (the big money space on PYL), and the ability to pass. In making the game board move on live television, it was noticeably inaccurate, frequently jumping away from the space where it had actually been stopped.
