The 870th episode, 20th (and penultimate) episode Season 44 of Saturday Night Live's which premiered on May 11, 2019, hosted by the British actress Emma Thompson, star of the three hit Harry Potter films, as well as the hit films Men in Black: International, and Late Night and Disney's live-action adoption films Beauty and the Beast and Cruella and the hit animated film Brave, with musical guests Jonas Brothers, who performed "Sucker" and a medley of "Cool" and "Burnin' Up" and appear in "Judge Court" skit. This will be Emma Thompson's hosting debut. This is also the Jonas Brothers' 2nd musical guest appearance on SNL.

This is also even the Jonas Brothers' first appearance for the first time in a decade, as well as Nick Jonas’ 3rd musical guest stint on SNL.

The Jonas Brothers previously made their musical guest (and SNL) debut on February 14, 2009, the sixteenth episode of SNL's 34th Season, hosted by actor Alec Baldwin.

Nick Jonas also previously made his 2nd musical guest stint and his solo musical guest debut on April 16, 2016, the eighteenth episode of SNL's 41st Season, hosted by former Ebersol-era cast member Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Emma Thompson's goodnights speech is "Thanks Jonas Brothers, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and All of the Mothers in the World, We Love You, Yeah". (Cheers and applause)
