Matthew Perry (August 19, 1969 – October 28, 2023) was an American-Canadian actor and comedian best known for his role as Chandler Bing on the NBC sitcom Friends from 1994 to 2004. He hosted Saturday Night Live on October 4, 1997. He starred in the film, 17 Again.
Perry died on October 28, 2023, at age 54 from an apparent drowning in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home. Law enforcement sources told the Los Angeles Times they did not believe there was foul play.
Law enforcement first responded to a call reporting cardiac arrest at Perry's house.
