The 866th episode and 16th episode of Season 44 of Saturday Night Live premiered on March 30, 2019. It was hosted by Candian-American actress Sandra Oh, star of the ABC's hit medical drama series Grey's Anatomy and BBC America's spy thriller series Killing Eve, with musical guests Tame Impala, the psychedelic music project, performing "Patience" and "Borderline". Kevin Parker made his 2nd musical guest stint and Tame Impala's first time as the musical guest on SNL, and this was Sandra Oh's only time hosting.

Sandra Oh's goodnights speech is "Thanks to Tame Impala, (Cheers and applause), Alec Baldwin, Robert De Niro, Thank You to the SNL Cast and Crew, Lorne Who's Canadian, Thank You for One of the Most Unbelievable Experiences of My Life and Good Night, Thank You So Much!". (Cheers and applause again)
