It was hosted by actress Zoë Kravitz, star of the HBO drama series Big Little Lies, and the Fantastic Beasts film series and The Batman, as well as the hit films X-Men: First Class, The Divergent Series, Yelling to the Sky, The Road Within, Vincent N Roxxy, Rough Night, Good Kill, Dope, Gemini, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, The Lego Batman Movie, and Kimi. Spanish singer Rosalía was the musical guest and perform "Chicken Teriyaki" and "La Fama".
This is the 2nd appearance and first-time hosting on SNL for Zoë Kravitz. This is also the 2nd appearance and the first-time as the musical guest for Rosalía on SNL.
