The 599th episode and 14th episode of Saturday Night Live's 31st season premiered on March 11, 2006. It was hosted by actor Matt Dillon and the musical guest was Arctic Monkeys, an English rock band, who performed "I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor" and "A Certain Romance". Matt Dillon's only time as host was made and this was also the only musical guest appearance on SNL for the Arctic Monkeys.
