Kate "Katie" Holmes (born December 18, 1978) is an American actress best known for her role as Josephine "Joey" Potter on The WB teen drama series Dawson's Creek from 1998 to 2003 and for her marriage with actor Tom Cruise from 2006 to 2012. She hosted Saturday Night Live on February 24, 2001.
She was also impersonated by Amy Poehler on the May 20, 2006 episode during the "Oprah Winfrey's Legends Ball Special" sketch and by Anne Hathaway on the November 20, 2010 episode during "The Miley Cyrus Show" sketch and on the November 10, 2012 episode during the "Ellen" sketch.
