John Stephen Goodman (June 20, 1952), best remembered for his role as Dan Conner on the top-rated ABC sitcom "Roseanne," has been a frequent host of SNL. Between 1989 and 2001, he hosted SNL 12 times , one short of the show record of 13 set by comedian Steve Martin. In addition to aforementioned hosting, Goodman made 9 cameos on the show between 1998 and 2003:

He made 5 cameos during 1997-98 and 1998-99 seasons impersonating Clinton-Lewinsky scandal uncoverer Linda Tripp. He auditioned for the show on Season 6, but the spot was given to Joe Piscopo.
