The 920th episode and 11th episode of Saturday Night Live's 47th season premiered on January 22, 2022, hosted by longtime former cast member Will Forte, star of the Peacock's action-comedy adventure streaming television series MacGruber, and the hit films Beerfest, The Brothers Solomon, A Good Old Fashioned Orgy, That's My Boy, Life of Crime, Nebraska, She's Funny That Way, Don Verdean, Staten Island Summer, Keanu, A Futile and Stupid Gesture, Extra Ordinary, Booksmart, Good Boys, America: The Motion Picture, Studio 666, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Strays and Kinda Pregnant and the animated films Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs franchise, The Lego Movie franchise, Get Squirrely, My Life as a Courgette, Luis and the Aliens, The Willoughbys, Scoob!, DreamWorks Animation's film Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken and Thelma the Unicorn, with musical guests Måneskin, an Italian rock band, who performing "Beggin" and "I Wanna Be Your Slave". This was Will Forte's first time as host, as well as the musical guest debut for Måneskin is made on SNL.
The goodnights speech for Will Forte is "Thanks to Måneskin, thanks to Willem Dafoe, the amazing Kristen Wiig, Lorne Michaels, this amazing cast back here and this crew that has been like a family to me and my own family up there, too. Love you all. Thank you for this experience". (Cheers and applause)

- Will Forte is the 37th longtime former cast member returned to SNL to host this season.
