It was hosted by comedian and actor Aziz Ansari, star of the NBC series Parks and Recreation, which co-starred former longtime cast member Amy Poehler and the Netflix series Master of None, with rapper Big Sean as the musical guest. This was Aziz Ansari's hosting debut, as well as the musical guest debut on SNL for Big Sean.
