The 12th episode of Season 35 and the 670th episode of Saturday Night Live premiered on January 16, 2010. It was hosted by actress Sigourney Weaver, star of the Alien franchise and Ghostbusters films, and the hit films Holes, The Village, Infamous, You Again and Avatar and the sequel Avatar: The Way of Water, with musical guest The Ting Tings, an English indie pop duo, who performed "That's Not My Name" and "Shut Up and Let Me Go". This is Sigourney Weaver's 2nd hosting stint and her first appearance in 23 years, 3 months and 5 days. Weaver last hosted SNL back on October 11, 1986, which is the Season 12 premiere.

This is also the only musical guest appearance on SNL for The Ting Tings.
