The 714th episode and 12th episode of Saturday Night Live's 37th season premiered on January 14, 2012, hosted by the English actor Daniel Radcliffe, star of Harry Potter film series, with musical guest Lana Del Rey, who performed "Video Games" and "Blue Jeans." Daniel Radcliffe made his only hosting stint, and this was the only musical guest appearance on SNL for Lana Del Rey.
This is the final episode for cast member Paul Brittain, who had been a featured player since 2010, as he left the show after 1½ years.
Daniel Radcliffe's goodnights speech is "Thank you very much to Lana Del Rey! And everybody who put this show on every week, thank you so much! Good night! Thank you!".
