James Brown (1933-2006) was an American singer, songwriter, composer and musical guest on Saturday Night Live on December 13, 1980.
Brown played a supporting role in both Blues Brothers films, starring the former Not Ready for Prime Time Players John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd, as Reverend Cleophus James of Triple Rock Baptist Church.
Brown has been impersonated by Garrett Morris and Eddie Murphy.
