Dame Helen Mirren, DBE (born July 26, 1945) is an English actress best known for her roles as Jane Tennison in the British police procedural television drama series Prime Suspect, HM Queen Elizabeth II in the 2006 drama film The Queen, Emily Appleton in the 2007 mystery adventure film National Treasure: Book of Secrets, Sophia Tolstaya in the 2009 biographical drama film The Last Station and as Rachel Singer in the 2011 drama-thriller film The Debt. She hosted Saturday Night Live on April 9, 2011 and made a cameo on October 2, 2010 during the SNL Digital Short.
