Francine "Fran" Joy Drescher (born September 30, 1957) is an American film and television actress, comedian, producer and activist best known for her role as Fran Fine on the CBS television sitcom The Nanny. Although she has never been on Saturday Night Live, she has been impersonated by Cheri Oteri on December 16, 1995 during the "NBC's Christmas Salute To Our Bosnian Troops" sketch, on November 8, 1997 during the "Wedding Reception" sketch and on September 26, 1998 during the "The New Hollywood Squares" sketch, by Sofía Vergara on April 7, 2012 during the "Bein' Quirky with Zooey Deschanel" sketch, by Cecily Strong on December 15, 2012 during the "You're A Rat Bastard, Charlie Brown" filmed commercial sketch and by Sarah Sherman on October 28, 2023 during the "Trick-or-Treat with Fran Drescher" sketch.
