This is Paul Rudd's 2nd time as host and the 3rd musical guest appearance for Paul McCartney and his first appearance in 17 years on SNL.
The last time Paul McCartney was the musical guest back on the February 13, 1993 episode, the thirteenth episode of Season 18, hosted by actor and comedian Alec Baldwin.
