The 12th episode of Season 22 and the 418th episode of Saturday Night Live premiered on February 8, 1997. It was hosted by Canadian actress Neve Campbell, star of the FOX's hit drama series Party of Five and the first five Scream franchise, with legendary English musician and singer David Bowie as the musical guest.
This was Neve Campbell's only time hosting, and David Bowie made his third musical guest appearance on SNL.
