The 12th episode of Season 18 and the 338th episode of Saturday Night Live premiered on February 6, 1993, hosted by Luke Perry, star of FOX drama series Beverly Hills 90210, with musical guest Mick Jagger, a legendary English singer and rocker.

This was the solo musical guest debut and 2nd musical guest appearance for Mick Jagger, as well as the only hosting stint on SNL for Luke Perry.

This marked the final episode for longtime cast member Dana Carvey (who had been a cast member since 1986), who left the show after seven years.
