The 715th episode and 13th episode of Saturday Night Live's 37th season premiered on February 4, 2012. It was hosted by actor Channing Tatum, star of Magic Mike and its sequels Magic Mike XXL and Magic Mike's Last Dance, and 21 Jump Street and its sequel 22 Jump Street, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and its sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation, as well as the hit films She's the Man, White House Down, Foxcatcher, The Hateful Eight, Hail, Caesar!, Logan Lucky, The Lost City and Blink Twice, and he also starred in, produced and co-directed the road film Dog, with musical guest Bon Iver, a legendary folk indie band, who performed "Holocene" and "Beth/Rest.
This was Channing Tatum's only time hosting, as well as the only musical guest appearance for Bon Iver on SNL.
Channing Tatum's goodnights speech is "A Big Thanks to Bon Iver! The cast, the crew, Lorne, the band! Happy Birthday, Mama! What’s up, Dad! Jen, I love you! What’s going on! Whoo!". (Cheers and applause)
