The 842nd episode and 13th episode of Saturday Night Live's 43rd season premiered on February 3, 2018, hosted by Israeli-born American actress Natalie Portman, star of Stars Wars prequel trilogy and the hit films Léon: The Professional, Closer, V for Vendetta, The Other Boleyn Girl, Black Swan, No Strings Attached, Von Lux, The Death & Life of John F. Donovan, Lucy in the Sky, Jackie, the Marvel Cinematic Universe's hit superhero films Thor, Thor: The Dark World, and Thor: Love and Thunder and May December, with musical guest Dua Lipa, an English and Albanian singer and songwriter. This is Natalie Portman's 2nd hosting stint and her first appearance in 11 years, 10 months, and 30 days, while Dua Lipa made her musical guest debut on SNL.

Portman last hosted SNL back on the March 4, 2006 episode, the thirteenth episode of SNL's 31st season, with musical guests Fall Out Boy, the legendary rock band.

Alien Lover   The captain of a ship (Natalie Portman) encounters a surprising issue before making love to an alien (Beck Bennett).
Nickelodeon 2018 Kids Choice Awards   Allie Jackson (Natalie Portman) loses her voice while co-hosting the orange carpet with Dexter Hill (Mikey Day). Also features Kate McKinnon as Ellen DeGeneres and Pete Davidson as Dylan Maxwell.

  • This is the only SNL episode of this season not to air live coast to coast due to NBC's commitment to the NFL and its NFL Honors special.
