The thirteenth episode of Season 22 and the 419th episode of Saturday Night Live premiered on February 15, 1997, hosted by original (and former) cast member Chevy Chase, star of the hit films Caddyshack and the sequel 1988 film Caddyshack II, five of the National Lampoon's Vacation films, Foul Play, Seems Like Old Times, Under the Rainbow, Modern Problems, Deal of the Century, Three Amigos!, Disney's comedy film Man of the House, Spies Like Us, Fletch and the sequel Fletch Lives, Funny Money, Zoom, Nothing but Trouble, Cops and Robbersons, The Last Laugh, Memoirs of an Invisible Man, Funny Farm, Dirty Work, Snow Day, and The Magic Roundabout, with musical guest Live, an alternative rock band. This is the 8th and final hosting stint for Chevy Chase before getting banned (returning much later for numerous guest appearances in future seasons).
This is also the 2nd and last musical guest appearance for Live on SNL.
