Dua Lipa (/ˈduːə ˈliːpə/; Albanian pronunciation: [ˈdua ˈlipa]; b. 22 August 1995) is an English singer and songwriter. After working as a model, she signed with Warner Music Group in 2015 and released her self-titled debut album in 2017. The album peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart, and produced nine singles, including "Be the One" and "IDGAF", and the UK number-one single "New Rules", which also peaked at number six in the US. In 2018, Lipa won the Brit Awards for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act.

Released in April 2018, the single "One Kiss" with Calvin Harris peaked at number one in the UK and became the longest-running number-one single for a female artist in 2018. It won her the 2019 Brit Award for Song of the Year. In 2019, she was also awarded the Grammy Award for Best New Artist, and "Electricity", a collaboration with Silk City, won her the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. The success of the singles helped her self-titled album become one of the most-streamed albums on Spotify and achieve platinum certifications. Her second studio album, Future Nostalgia, was released in March 2020 to critical acclaim. It is her first UK number-one album; its lead single "Don't Start Now" became one of the most commercially successful songs of 2020; it is one of four songs (the only song by a female artist) that has spent all of 2020 on the Billboard Hot 100. It peaked at number two on both the UK Singles Chart and the US Billboard Hot 100.

Lipa has received various accolades, including two Grammy Awards, three Brit Awards, two MTV Europe Music Awards, and one MTV Video Music Award. She has also been nominated for three Billboard Music Awards, and three American Music Awards.

Lipa made her musical guest debut on Saturday Night Live on February 3, 2018, the thirteenth episode of Saturday Night Live's 43rd season, hosted by actress Natalie Portman, where she performed "New Rules" and "Homesick".

She was originally supposed return to Saturday Night Live to perform on March 28, 2020, episode, for her 2nd musical guest appearance, the sixteenth episode of Season 45, hosted by actor John Krasinski, but that appearance was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Her performance was rescheduled for December 19, 2020, the ninth episode and the Christmas show of Season 46 of Saturday Night Live, hosted by longtime former cast member Kristen Wiig, which she returned to Saturday Night Live for her 2nd musical guest appearance. She performed her two songs "Don't Start Now" and "Levitating" from her second studio album Future Nostalgia.

Lipa returned to Saturday Night Live to for the first time, performing double duty and she made her 3rd musical guest appearance on May 4, 2024, the eighteenth episode of Season 49. She performed "Illusion" and "Happy for You" from her third album Radical Optimism
