The 8th episode of Season 36 and the 688th episode of Saturday Night Live premiered on December 4, 2010. It was hosted by actor Robert De Niro with musical guests Diddy-Dirty Money. This is Robert De Niro's 3rd hosting stint. This is also Diddy-Dirty Money's only musical guest appearance and Puff Daddy's 2nd and last musical guest appearance on SNL.
Robert De Niro previously hosted SNL on the following dates: On December 7, 2002, the seventh episode of SNL's 28th season, with musical guest Norah Jones, and on December 18, 2004, the eighth and Christmas episode of SNL's 30th season, with musical guests Destiny's Child.
Puff Daddy last appeared on the May 9, 1998 episode, which is the Season 23 finale, hosted by actor David Duchovny, star of Californiacation and the X-Files.
