The 937th episode and 7th episode of Saturday Night Live's 48th season premiered on December 3, 2022. It was hosted by actress Keke Palmer, star of the hit films Akeelah and the Bee, Madea's Family Reunion, Jump In, The Longshots, Hustlers, Alice, Nope, and One of Them Days and Disney and Pixar's hit animated film Lightyear and former Nickelodeon star of the hit teen sitcom, True Jackson VP and host of the revival of the game show Password, with R&B singer and songwriter SZA as the musical guest. This was Keke Palmer's hosting debut, as well as SZA's 3rd appearance and her 2nd musical guest appearance on SNL.
SZA previously made her musical guest debut on December 9, 2017, the eighth and the Holidays-themed episode of SNL's 43rd season, hosted by actor James Franco.
The goodnights speech for Keke Palmer is "Thank You to SZA and Natasha Lyonne, and My This Incredible Cast for Letting Me Be Part of Their Team and Lorne Michaels, Y'all Have a Good Night, Saturday Night Live". (Cheers and applause)
