The seventh episode of Season 1 of NBC's Saturday Night premiered on December 13, 1975, amd it was hosted by stand-up comedian and actor Richard Pryor with musical guest Gil Scott-Heron. This was Richard Pryor's only hosting stint and Gil Scott-Heron made his only musical guest appearance on the show.
